Badges? We ain't got no badges! We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!
i love this quote and often find myself using it on the kids and my dog.
it is from cats and dogs and james earl jones doing the voice over.
"not for you young puppy, for you the war is over".

a 16 year old girl was recently disfellowshipped from my congregation.
i was told by some busybodies that she had a ''wordly'' boyfriend and that she committed fornication.now she sits home alone while her parents attend 3 meetings per week.. my questions are:did the elders meet with the parents first to let them know what the offense was?
were her parents told what the judicial meeting would be about and how it works?

Would the Elders let the parents attend the judicial meeting? If not,how can they let a teenager defend herself in front of grown men? Since she was under 18 years old, wouldn't the parents represent her as her guardian?
every time a circuit and district overseer visited our congregation, the elders always wanted a show of hands from the congregation to see if we would pay for their car expenses and travel.sometimes the congregation would pay for airline tickets.it was always approved.. do you know if the idea came from the local congregations to pay?
did the wts send out letters to each congregation to see if they would pay?
we know that the wts always get what they want.. it's amazing how we paid $250-$400 for each overseer visit and the wts paid nothing..

I mean come on, who is going to vote against it by raising their hand?
We have 4 Elders in my congregation. They all raise their hands up when they take up a vote. Everyone in the congregation follows and raise their hands up because they know the Elders always look around for dissenters.

jesus had only 12 members attend and partake the last meal and memorial.there were no observers in the room.each disciple was given bread to eat and wine to drink.there is no mention of other people in the room who couldn't eat or drink the last meal.this was only for those who would partake of this meal.. why does the wts feel that observers need to be at this yearly event?
why can't the elders who(supposedly) have any 144,000 in their congregations, have a memorial with only these members?
if jesus wanted observers he would of had some at his last meal and requested that they be present from then on..
Thanks Blondie!
Those "other sheep," who are not of the same "fold" as the "little flock," attended the Memorial as observers, not as partakers.—John 10:16; Luke 12:32.—See TheWatchtower as of March 1, 1938, page 75, paragraphs 50-52.
John:10;16 reads :
16 “And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those also I must bring, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd.
We know that the WTS twists John 10;16 in their favor. This whole scripture is what gives them their power. The ''other sheep'' Jesus was talking about were the Gentiles who would be preached to after his death. The Gentiles were not to join the fold until Saul preached to them .

You asked : I can't remember this but is there a special prayer over the bread and wine before the service?
Just like Jesus prayed before breaking the bread,an Elder is called to give a prayer before the passing of the bread. Then, just like Jesus prayed before drinking the wine, another Elder prays before the passing of the wine.So there are 4 prayers given that night.

I always thought it was comical when the ms and elders passed around the emblems to themselves and the speaker.
I forgot that one.It looks like a hot potato is being tossed around.
Last year a young boy and his mother sat next to me.They were newbies. The young boy took the emblem and was starting to eat it.The MS took it from his hand and put it back on the plate. When the wine was passed, the MS never let the young boy touch it.

In my 30 years,I've never seen one person partake. This year's Memorial is coming up and if you don't go you are considered ''SPIRITUALLY DEAD." I'm sure a visit is coming if you don't attend. They talk for 10 minutes on who should take the bread and wine and another 15 minutes on all the meetings the WTS has prepared for the newly interested to attend.I dread going as usual. What a waste of time!
